Shared Commercial Kitchen/Food Incubator

  • Startup food businesses and food trucks Downtown need commercial sized kitchens to enable them to thrive. Creating a shared commercial kitchen/food incubator Downtown would support these small food businesses and bring more restaurants/vibrancy to Downtown. 

    Two existing models: 

    • Incubator - Users pay a fee for working space, guidance, classes, and a network. Ex: J’s Kitchen in Doraville, GA

    • Accelerator - Invests in each start up instead of charging them, equity in company.  Ex: Food-X in New York City

    • Promotes entrepreneurship

    • Brings variety into Downtown

    • Supports local businesses
