Redesign Blah-zas
Atlanta has a shortage of open space per capita, and utilizing these wasted and ugly spaces is a great way to help fix this issue. Retrofitting them can help increase tree canopy and provide a space for social and cultural gatherings and interactions. Taking down the defensive architecture will make them more inviting and activate them as useable space. They are a good opportunity to celebrate downtown’s heritage. Currently, there are 35 acres worth of these blah-zas downtown that have the potential to be redeveloped.
