Lockers for Homeless Population
There is a homeless population in Downtown. Lockers for the homeless, suggested to be coin operated, will give them a place to safely store belongings and address stigmas. Lockers would keep homeless persons from being “weighed down” by belongings and provide them with access into shelters and possible employment opportunities that they would have otherwise been turned away from. Lockers can be coupled with a mentoring service. Persons utilizing the lockers would have to check in with a mentor daily or weekly.
