Expand Student Housing
Student housing for Georgia State and the other universities in the surroundings areas is very limited. Students have to compete with young professionals and empty-nesters for the available housing, often making it unaffordable. This drives qualified people away after graduation. Lack of local housing also increases congestion and emissions from the need to commute as well as discourages students from engaging with the neighborhood at night and on weekends. Microlofts are one potential way to provide this increased housing in downtown.
