Create Linear Experiences

Linear experiences are trails or circuits that highlight different aspects of a city. Downtown has many opportunities to capitalize on here, including arts, history, and family fun. A well defined program can drive foot traffic to different areas of Downtown and highlight some of the under-known gems present here. This would have many benefits, including increased appreciation (and protection) for cultural aspects of Downtown that may be at risk of gentrification (both businesses and buildings). Increased tourism in the Centennial park area as well as encouraging visitors to hit more locations would be beneficial for both attractions and nearby businesses. Walks through fairlie-poplar, castleberry hill, and edgewood would all help small businesses in the area. Boston Freedom trail is an example.
