Bioswales
Bioswales are a type of GI used to concentrate, control, and filter stormwater. They have many benefits including saving the city money on water processing (they clean and recharge groundwater without energy or chemicals), decreasing flooding, and improving aesthetic appeal. Bioswales could be combined with complete streets initiatives as attractive barriers between cyclist/ pedestrians and cars, implemented in traffic calming devices, and incorporated into blah-zas. Audrey mention that the watershed department has a wishlist for these so we should try and figure out costs etc. from them.
